What should users keep when a subscription ends?

I’m building Dwellmo under RelayByte, and one decision I’ve made is that people should retain access to the household information they’ve already added after their subscription expires. Existing entries remain editable and exportable. That still leaves a real founder challenge: offering enough ongoing value for people to keep subscribing. For those building apps around information people create, how do you approach this? What recurring benefits have actually earned renewals for you? I’d be interested in examples from small products, especially ones people find useful without opening every day.
