Lesson

I’m starting to think the hardest part of content isn’t having an idea.

By Vaibhav Gareja

It’s knowing what to do with the idea. You can have a good product, an interesting lesson, or hours of research… and still end up with a boring post because there’s no story connecting it all. I’ve been experimenting with this a lot lately while building StoryMint. One thing I keep coming back to: Don’t ask "How do I make this look good?" Ask "Why would someone care enough to keep reading?" The design comes after. Curious - what’s something you’ve wanted to turn into content but still haven’t figured out how to explain?

A lot of the founder conversations I’ve been having lately. There are usually several interesting things in one conversation, but the challenge is finding the one tension or change that makes someone outside the conversation care. I’m finding that the raw conversation is often more useful than trying to invent a content idea first. The story is usually already there; it just needs to be identified.
