How I turned my biggest indie hacker weakness (marketing fatigue) into a 15-min daily system

By TJ June

Like most solo developers on Buildside, I can easily sit in front of VS Code for 12 hours straight without getting burnt out. But when it came to marketing my side projects? Complete paralysis. I used to follow the classic indie hacker loop: Build an MVP in stealth. Launch it with a single tweet or post. Get overwhelmed by the idea of manually formatting and sharing updates across 20+ platforms every day. Watch a good product die in silence. A few weeks ago, I decided to treat product marketing as an engineering problem instead of a manual chore. The Engineering Solution: NowMine I loaded platform rules and directory configurations across 22 developer channels (X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Dev.to, Peerlist, etc.) into a Cloudflare D1 database and wired it up to the Groq API. Instead of staring at a blank screen or getting overwhelmed by distribution lists, NowMine gives solo builders exactly one 15-minute marketing quest every morning. Key System Architecture & Flow: 🤖 Zero-Slop AI Engine: Rotates daily through 7 narrative angles (vulnerable build logs, technical deep dives, problem teardowns) so generated posts sound like authentic developer updates rather than corporate AI slop. 🎯 Platform Link Rules: Automatically handles channel rules (e.g., shortlinks in the post body for X/Dev.to vs. first comment for LinkedIn/Reddit to prevent reach penalties). ⏳ The "Wordle" Habit Lock: Locks the task generator for 24 hours until local midnight after 1 verified post, protecting your accounts from spam algorithms and preventing creator burnout. 🚀 Street Team Booster Feed: Once your post is verified, your link is pushed to a shared peer feed where fellow builders visit and upvote each other's live posts to beat algorithm suppression. Early Traction (Day 3 Win) We just launched the MVP live, and on Day 3 of building in public, our launch post hit the #1 Trending spot on Peerlist! Seeing so many solo developers resonate with the problem showed just how real distribution fatigue is. Looking for Community Feedback The MVP is live today, and I’d love to get feedback from fellow founders here on Buildside: How do you currently maintain daily marketing consistency without losing coding momentum? Which platform or directory currently drives the highest quality traffic for your apps? Test out the live MVP: https://nowmine.site #MVP #CoFounder #Build
