Launch

I started working on it about 7 months ago, initially just as something I wanted to experiment with while building GamePride.

I’ve used Sentry quite a bit, and although it’s a great tool, I kept running into some frustrations around noise, alert fatigue, debugging requests, event volume, and understanding exactly what happened before a failure reached the application. So I started building something to solve some of those problems for myself. That little experiment became Midline. I initially used it within GamePride, kept adding things I needed, breaking things, fixing them, and slowly watching it turn into something that could actually be useful to other developers. Now, after 8 months, I decided to push it to production and make it available publicly. https://usemidline.com It’s still very much a new project and there’s a lot I want to improve. I’m not expecting it to be perfect. I’d actually love to get feedback from developers who try it out, whether you like it, hate it, find something confusing, or think I’m solving the wrong problem. Good or bad feedback, I want to hear it.
