Grocery receipts are full of codes like GRNBN12OZ. One person can decode them once; the next person shouldn’t have to repeat the same work. In Radish 1.13, I added Community suggestions: • If someone corrects an item’s name or category and opts into sharing, Radish can submit that correction after the receipt is saved. • It sends the store and market, normalized printed code, corrected name and category, plus a one-way tag that prevents duplicate votes. No receipt photo, price, total, date, user ID, household ID, or Essential/Optional choice is sent. • A suggestion is published only after at least 10 matching confirmations and 90% agreement. • Radish downloads a signed dictionary for that specific store and market. The suggestion appears during Review, but never changes anything automatically—the user must tap “Use suggestion.” Reading Community suggestions is on by default. Sharing your own corrections is a separate opt-in and stays off until you enable it. The goal is simple: store abbreviations repeat constantly. A correction made once can save other people the same manual work, while everyone keeps control of their own receipt. I also shipped: • Cleaner Spending with month details that expand in place • Taxes and extra charges shown where they belong • Monthly PDF reports that are easier to find • Receipt summaries that stay visible while scrolling • Bulk deletion behind a twice-confirmed Danger Zone • “Email Ivan” in Settings • The removal of Weekly Summary The result: less repetitive receipt cleanup, clearer monthly spending, and safer controls.
