About
ShareOfAsk is an AI visibility tracking platform for brands and agencies. It sends the questions buyers ask to AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, and records how each answer mentions brands. Teams see whether their brand appears, which competitors are named, in what order, how the brand is described and which sources each answer cites. Four core metrics summarize the results: AI Presence, Competitive Share of Voice, Question Coverage and Average First Position. The methodology is public, and every number links back to the recorded answer behind it. Action analyses turn the evidence into recommendations with findings, evidence and suggested steps. Agencies keep each client in its own workspace and share reports. An MCP server with OAuth lets AI assistants read questions, competitors, mentions, sources and recommendations.
Features
- Problem
- Teams cannot tell how often they appear in AI answers or how they compare with competitors.
- How it works
- Measures AI Presence, competitive share of voice, question coverage and average first position; results can be broken down by buyer question and model.
- Result
- Teams can identify specific visibility gaps and compare their brand with competing brands.
- Why
- Documented metrics with counts and underlying answers make the results more interpretable than a single combined score.
- Problem
- A mention or absence alone does not explain what an AI answer says about a brand.
- How it works
- Shows answer excerpts, summaries of described and undescribed offer details, and sentiment labels and scores for brand mentions.
- Result
- Teams can review how their offer is represented and find messaging that may need clarification.
- Why
- Keeping the original wording and context alongside interpretation lets teams check what the sentiment or summary reflects.
- Problem
- Teams cannot readily investigate why a competitor was named.
- How it works
- Lists cited websites and pages and links them to the associated questions and recorded answers.
- Result
- Marketers can investigate sources and identify content or coverage gaps.
- Why
- Putting citations beside the answer provides concrete material to inspect rather than a speculative explanation.
- Problem
- Evidence does not automatically translate into a practical priority.
- How it works
- Actions package a finding, supporting evidence, suggested steps and completion criteria; users can mark actions completed or dismissed.
- Result
- Teams have an evidence-backed next step and can record their decision.
- Why
- A structured action analysis helps teams decide what to investigate while leaving the decision and implementation to them.
- Problem
- One-off observations cannot show whether a pattern persists.
- How it works
- Paid plans run one scheduled snapshot a day per workspace, recording answers for saved questions and selected models.
- Result
- Teams can review changes over time alongside the work they completed, without treating correlation as proof of cause.
- Why
- Consistent questions and models make repeated observations easier to compare.
- Problem
- Agencies and teams need to present findings outside the product.
- How it works
- Provides read-only report links with selected sections; paid plans also include CSV export, with sharing options varying by plan.
- Result
- Teams can communicate findings with clients, colleagues and leadership.
- Why
- A shareable report keeps metrics and supporting evidence together for client or internal reviews.
- Problem
- Users may want to query their measurement data through their own AI assistants.
- How it works
- An OAuth-secured MCP server lets compatible assistants read permitted workspace data, including questions, competitors, mentions, sources and Actions.
- Result
- Users can ask assistants about their workspace data and use it in tasks such as drafting summaries or briefs.
- Why
- Role-limited access connects ShareOfAsk data to users' AI tools without giving those assistants unrestricted workspace access.
