I run SR&ED Lab: I write the technical side of SR&ED claims for Canadian software companies. The plan was to start cold email to Canadian founders this month, from a brand-new domain. Before that, I've spent the last couple of weeks sending a few real emails a day to people who actually reply. What it showed: Gmail delivered fine, but Hotmail put my messages in spam. A new domain has no reputation yet, and the mailbox providers don't all treat it the same. So the cold start moved to Nov 9. Until then I keep the warm-up going and talk to founders here instead. If you're building software in Canada, I'd like to hear how you handle R&D tax credits today, even if the answer is "I don't".

This week's feature update is about the part of a deal that happens on a call. Leads, Tasks and ToDos come free in every EloSync workspace. Calendar and Meetings are free modules you install from the Marketplace. Once they're on, you can add a Zoom or Google Meet link to any meeting, invite anyone by email, and see every meeting on the team calendar, in the same workspace as your leads and follow-up tasks. Why I built it this way: the call is often where a lead turns real. It shouldn't live in a calendar only one person checks. What do you use right now to keep track of sales calls? OriginForge Connect opens on 31 October. Here's what's in it so far: a village to start in, a wider map, villagers with quests, fishing, foraging, mining and treasure digging, and homes you buy with coins earned in game. Guests can play without an account. If you want to follow it, the subreddit is r/OriginForgeConnect.
